Sport helps children cope with stress
In a difficult situation, the level of the stress hormone - cortisol - increases significantly only in children with a sedentary lifestyle. The report with relevant conclusions was published by Finnish scientists.
The study involved 252 children. According to its results, in active children who play sports in one form or another, the level of cortisol either does not change at all, or grows insignificantly.
Thus, scientists emphasize, physical activity plays an important role in maintaining mental health. Sport, according to experts, helps children to overcome the stress that babies face every day - from public speaking to peer relations.
At the same time, the experts added that the nature of the relationship between mental and physical health is not fully defined, but, nevertheless, it absolutely exists.
